This guide will show you two ways to draw a turkey.

Method 1 of 2: Cartoon character turkey

1. Draw a circle.
2. Sketch a small circle to the right of the large circle.Connect the two circles with two curved lines so that they become a head, neck and body. Add two curved lines that come out at a sharp angle in front of the beak.
3. Sketch two lines at an angle to the body.Draw a triangle at the end of each line, these will be the legs.
4. Draw a fan shape on the back of the turkey.
5. Draw the eyes by making small circles.Draw a curved line above it as an eyebrow. Draw the mouth and a dot for the nostril.
6. Draw the neck and wattle by running curved lines from the beak to the neck.
7. Draw the wings by making a large cloud-like shape, and draw three curves underneath as feathers.
8. Trace the body and legs from your sketch. Make a series of bows that form a collar around the neck.
9. Draw the legs. A turkey's leg has three toes in the front and a small one in the back.
10. Sketch two layers of arches on the fan-shaped tail. Make the second layer bigger and more elaborate than the first.
11. Erase unnecessary lines.
12. Color the drawing.

Method 2 of 2: Realistic turkey

1. Draw a large circle for the body and an oval overlapping the large circle on the right.
2. Add a small circle for the head and connect it to the oval with two curved lines representing the neck.Add two short curved lines ending in a point on the right side as a beak.
3. Roughly sketch the legs and draw a triangle at the end of each leg for the feet.
4. Draw a curved line on the left side of the turkey and a fan shape for the tail attached to this curved line.
5. Draw the eyes and refine the beak.Draw the wattle and the cross lines of the neck by making small arcs.
6. Sketch the body, try to make the pattern of the feathers. Note that the bottom of the turkey is a bit bumpy, so you can indicate the circumference of some feathers there as well.
7. Darken the fan shape of the tail.
8. Draw and refine the legs and toes.
9. Draw small lines here and there on the body to indicate some more feathers.
10. Erase unnecessary lines and refine the feathers with small curved lines.
11. Color the drawing.
