This wikiHow shows you how to remove the emergency call button from the lock screen of your Android phone. You must download a (free) lock screen replacement from the Google Play Store to perform this setting.

1. Remove the pin or pattern code from your Android. Before you can install a new lock screen, you must first turn off the security feature that unlocks your home screen. The steps to follow to do this may differ from Android phone to phone.
   • Open SettingsOpen the Google Play Store Look for a screen lock app. Tap on screen lock in the search bar and tap the search button. A list of search results will now appear.
   • Choose a screen lock app. Make sure to choose an app with more than a few million downloads or at least a 4-star rating.
     • Popular choices are Zui Locker and SnapLock Smart Lock Screen.
   • Tap on TO INSTALL. If you need to grant the app permission to access your phone or tablet, make sure you do this. When the app has finished installing, the "INSTALL" button will change to the "OPEN" button.
   • Tap on TO OPEN. This will open the settings of the new screen lock app.
   • Follow the onscreen instructions to set up the lock screen. The steps can differ per app. This process usually means that the app will get the correct permission, and will disable the lock system (to prevent double screen lock).
   • Set a security way in your screen lock app. Different apps have different ways of unlocking a phone or tablet. Follow the onscreen instructions for setting up security until the entire process is complete.
   • Lock the screen of your Android. You can usually do this by pressing the power button once. If you now look at the lock screen you will no longer see the emergency call button.
