This wikiHow teaches you how to select and move your books and other content from one Kindle to another using an Internet browser on the desktop.

To step

  1. Log into the same Amazon account on both Kindles. Use the same account on both Kindles to transfer books.
  2. Open Amazon in an internet browser. Type www.amazon.com in the address bar of your browser and press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.
    • If you are not automatically logged in, click the yellow button Sign Up in the menu bar and log in with your username and password.
  3. Hover over your name in the menu bar. This button is located next to the search bar in the top right corner of your screen. Your account menu will appear.
  4. click on Your content and devices in the menu. This will display all of your books and other content on a new page.
  5. Select the books you want to move. Select the check box next to the item you want to transfer to the other Kindle.
  6. Click on the yellow one Send button. This button is located at the top of your books and content list. A new popup window will open.
  7. Click on the tab Devices selected. This will list all your Amazon devices in a drop-down list.
  8. Select the Kindle you want to transfer the files to. Click the name of the Kindle you want to move your files to. This sets the selected Kindle as the transfer destination.
  9. Click on the Send button. It is located in the lower right corner of the popup window. This will transfer all selected books and content to your selected Kindle.
