This article will teach you how to add Bitmoji (personalized emoji) to your posts and comments on Facebook.

To step

Method 1 of 3: With an Android

1. Install the Bitmoji app. You can download this for free in the Play Store. You do this like this:
   • Open the "Play Store". This is the icon of a white briefcase with a multicolored flag and is on the home screen or among your other apps.
   • Search for bitmoji in the search bar at the top of the screen, then select "Bitmoji - Your Personal Emoji" from the search results.
   • Press "Install". When the app is installed, the "Install" button will change to "Open".
2. Open Bitmoji. On the installation screen, press "Open" or press the green speech bubble with a winking face between your other apps.
3. Create an account. If you are logged in to Bitmoji, press "Login" to log in with your username and password. Otherwise, press "Sign in with email" and follow the onscreen instructions to create your account.
4. Create your character. Now you get the chance to be creative:
   • Tap on a gender of your choice.
   • Choose either the "Bitmoji" or the "Bitstrips" style for your character. Bitmoji characters have rounder features and look more cartoonish. Bitstrips style offers more customization options and looks more realistic.
   • Start by selecting a face shape, then press the arrow button to go to the next step. As you choose things, your character preview will be updated. After the last step, you will see a screen that says "Save & Choose Outfit".
   • Press "Save & Choose Outfit" to display the outfit screen. Tap an outfit of your choice and then the white circle with an arrow in the top right corner of the screen to save.
5. Enable the Bitmoji keyboard.
   • Open the "Settings" of your Android. This is a gray gear-shaped icon between your other apps.
   • Scroll down and press "Language and input".
   • Under "Keyboard & Input Methods", press "Current Keyboard".
   • Press "Choose keyboards".
   • Slide the "Bitmoji Keyboard" switch to the on (green) position.
   • Press "OK" to accept the security warning. You don't have to worry about Bitmoji storing your passwords. The keyboard is ready.
6. Open Facebook. This is the blue icon with a white "f" and it is between your other apps.
7. Add Bitmoji to a new message. You do this like this:
   • Create a new post on Facebook.
   • Press the text field to display the keyboard.
   • Tap and hold the globe icon at the bottom of the keyboard. You will see a popup with a list of keyboards.
   • Select "Bitmoji Keyboard".
   • Tap a Bitmoji to add it to your message.
8. Add Bitmoji to a comment. This is a bit more difficult than adding Bitmoji to a new message.
   • Open the Bitmoji app (this is the icon of a green speech bubble with a winking face and it is among your other apps).
   • Select a Bitmoji.
   • Press "Save". This is at the bottom of the screen, at the very end of the list.
   • Go to the post on Facebook you want to reply to.
   • Tap the camera icon next to the comment field and select the image of your Bitmoji. When you post your comment, your Bitmoji will appear.

Method 2 of 3: With an iPhone or iPad

1. Install the Bitmoji app. You can download this for free in the App Store. You do this like this:
   • Open the "App Store". This is the blue icon with a white "A" in a circle. It is usually on your home screen.
   • Tap the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen, then search for bitmoji.
   • In the search results, press "Bitmoji - Your Personal Emoji".
   • Press "GET" and then "INSTALL" to start the installation.
2. Open Bitmoji. Tap the Bitmoji icon (a green speech bubble with a winking face) on your home screen.
3. Create an account. If you are logged in to Bitmoji, press "Login" to log in with your username and password. Otherwise, press "Sign in with email" and follow the onscreen instructions to create your account.
4. Create your character. Now you get the chance to be creative:
   • Tap on a gender of your choice.
   • Choose either the "Bitmoji" or the "Bitstrips" style for your character. Bitmoji characters have rounder features and look more cartoonish. Bitstrips style offers more customization options and looks more realistic.

5. Enable the Bitmoji keyboard.
   • Open your "Settings". This is the gray gear-shaped icon on your home screen.
   • Press "General".
   • Scroll down and press "Keyboard".
   • Press "Keyboards".
   • Press "Add New Keyboard".
   • Press Bitmoji.
   • Slide the "Grant Full Access" switch to the On position.
   • Press "Allow". The keyboard is now ready.
6. Open Facebook. This is the blue icon with a white "f" on the home screen.
7. Add Bitmoji to a new message. You do this like this:
   • Create a new post on Facebook.
   • Press the text field to open the keyboard.
   • Tap and hold the globe icon at the bottom of the keyboard. This is next to the "123" button. You will see a popup with a list of keyboards appear.
   • Select "Bitmoji".
   • Tap a Bitmoji you want to add to your message.
8. Add a Bitmoji to a comment. This is a bit more difficult than adding Bitmoji to a new message.
   • Open the Bitmoji app.
   • Select a Bitmoji.
   • Press "Save Image". This is the first icon in the bottom row of icons.
   • Go to the post on Facebook you want to reply to.
   • Tap the camera icon next to the comment field and select the image of your Bitmoji. When you post your comment, your Bitmoji will appear.

Method 3 of 3: With a computer

1. Open the Google Chrome internet browser. The Bitmoji for computers app works exclusively with Google Chrome. If you don't have Chrome, check out Google Chrome Download to get it.
2. Go to https://www.bitmoji.com.
3. Scroll down and click Get for Google Chrome. This is the black button at the bottom of the screen.
4. Click Add extension. The Bitmoji extension will now be downloaded and installed. When this is complete, a green speech bubble with a winking face will appear in the taskbar at the top right of Chrome. You will also see a login screen.
5. Log in to Bitmoji. You have several options for this:
   • Click "Log in with Facebook" if you have already created an account that is linked to Facebook.
   • Click "Sign in with email" to create a new account, if you are not already signed in to Bitmoji.
   • If you have a Bitmoji username and password, enter them in the blank fields and click "Login".
6. Create your Bitmoji character. Now you get the chance to be creative:
   • Tap on a gender of your choice.
   • Choose either the "Bitmoji" or the "Bitstrips" style for your character. Bitmoji characters have rounder features and look more cartoonish. Bitstrips style offers more customization options and looks more realistic.
   • Start by selecting a face shape, then press the arrow button (in the top right corner of the page) to go to the next step. As you choose things, your character preview will be updated. After the last step, you will see a screen that says "Wow, looks great!".
   • Click "Save Avatar" to save your work.
7. Go to https://www.facebook.com. Sign up if you haven't already done so.
8. Add a Bitmoji to a message. Create a new post by clicking "What's Going Through Your Mind?" At the top of your timeline, or reply to a post by clicking the field below the post.
   • Click the Bitmoji button in your browser's taskbar. This is a green speech bubble with a white winking face.
   • Right click on the Bitmoji you want to post. If your computer does not have a right mouse button, press Ctrl while you click.
   • Select "Copy Image".
   • Paste the image into your post or post a comment by right-clicking and selecting "Paste". When you click on the message (or press Return / Enter to submit your response), your Bitmoji will appear.
