Facebook is one of the most popular social networks. Today it is used by more than one and a half billion people, and this number is constantly increasing. Therefore, it is not surprising that people install the Facebook app on mobile devices. You can install this application on an Android device through a computer or directly on the device.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On a mobile device

1. 1 Open Play Store. Click on the icon of this application on the home screen.
   • If the icon you want is not on the first page of the Home screen, swipe left or right, up or down (depending on your device model) to go to another page and search for the Play Store icon.
   • If the icon is not on the home screen, try looking for it in the Application bar.
2. 2 Enter "Facebook" in the search bar. Tap the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner, and then type "Facebook" in the search bar. Press "OK" on your keyboard to start searching.
3. 3 Open the app page. Click on "Facebook" at the very top of the search results list.
4. 4 Click Install. The app will automatically download and install on your device. Now click "Open" if you are still on the app page in the Play Store. If you have already closed Play Store, look for the Facebook app icon in the App Bar.
   • If a pop-up window appears asking you to allow something, click "OK" in this window to start the installation process, which will take a few seconds (depending on the speed of your Internet connection).
   • Now you can use Facebook on your mobile device using the application of the same name.

Method 2 of 2: Using a computer

1. 1 Go to the Google Play website. Launch a web browser, type https://play.google.com/store in the address bar, and then press Enter.
2. 2 Connect your Android device to your computer. To do this, use a USB cable.
3. 3 Enter "Facebook" in the search bar. It's at the top of the screen. The Facebook application appears at the top of the search results list.
4. 4 Download and install the Facebook app. Left-click on "Install". You will be prompted to select the device on which the application will be installed. Select the desired device from the drop-down menu.
   • If you are using a Gmail account that is associated with your device, the app will download directly to your device.
   • When you select a device, the app will automatically download and install on it.

Tips

• The Facebook application can be downloaded free of charge, both on a computer and on a mobile device.
• The methods described above can be applied to smartphones and tablets.
• Make sure you have enough mobile traffic if you are going to download the Facebook app over your mobile internet. We recommend installing this app over a wireless network to avoid unnecessary costs.
• If your device is low on memory, download the Facebook Lite APK, which will take just over 1MB of device memory.
