This is a fun activity for people of all ages. They are very quiet and small. This is why sea monkeys are great first pets for children. They grow up to 1 centimeter in size and need to be fed only once a week. In other words, they are just AWESOME! What's more, sea monkeys have been shown to significantly reduce stress in most people. Do you want to see for yourself? Then buy the kit and follow the directions in the instructions.

Steps

  1. 1 Pour about 300 ml of plain or distilled water into the aquarium. Never pour tap water, as it contains substances that are poisonous to these tiny creatures. Also, do not pour carbonated water!
  2. 2 Pour the cleaner (bag with number 1 on it) that is in the kit into the water. Place the aquarium in a cool, dry place for 24 hours.
  3. 3 Place the sea monkey eggs in the aquarium and then gently stir the water with the supplied stick. The incubation period in sea monkeys depends on location, habitat and owner's activities. Take a look at the graph for the incubation period, which varies with temperature.
  4. 4 Every 24 hours, carbonate the aquarium water (with an air pump or pipette). If you don't have an air pump, then just take a large container, pour the water into it, and then return the water and sea monkeys back to the aquarium. Pour and pour water about 4-5 times. As for various food and accessories, you can buy them online. Just do not buy those crystals with which the sea monkeys play. They will only get stuck under these crystals and suffocate.
  5. 5 Five days after adding the contents of bag # 1 to the water, feed the sea monkeys growth food with the SMALL END of a measuring spoon. You can feed them again in a week, and then in another week. You can then feed them every day.

Tips

  • When it comes to sea monkeys, there are always three things to keep in mind: place, place, and again place. Make sure they are not exposed to direct sunlight (not only to prevent algae from growing, but also to prevent your sea monkeys from boiling in the aquarium). If you cannot provide this to them, then use a plant lamp. Also take care of a "spare light" in case you have a power outage.
  • If they do not emerge from the eggs for more than 24 hours, then the water is too cold.
  • Sea monkeys do better in light, but not in direct light. Remember, we are not trying to cook boiled shrimp!
  • Never buy crystals for sea monkeys when they are still small, as they can easily get stuck under them, and then they will simply suffocate!
  • Don't worry if you notice algae growth in your aquarium. Seaweed is excellent food for sea monkeys. But algae can also reduce oxygen levels in the aquarium, so you have to remove them with your finger.
  • If the water in the aquarium has evaporated by about 5 centimeters, then pour the water into the pot, wait 24 hours, and then pour it into the aquarium.
  • If you have any questions, read the FAQ on the site about sea monkeys and if your question is not answered, write a letter with a question to the site about sea monkeys and they will do their best to help you.
  • If you do not have an aquarium or a compressor for one, you can use a regular syringe to oxygenate the water.

Warnings

  • Don't overfeed them.
  • They are very small and you will need a magnifying glass to see them until they get bigger.
  • Some of the substances in tap water are as toxic to sea monkeys as carbon monoxide is to us.
