Jeremy was a frog, now you can too! Whether your kid is attending a school performance or just needs a cool Halloween costume, WikiHow has tons of ideas on how to make and style a frog costume to suit your requirements. Just start with the 1st step below.

Steps

Part 1 of 4: Head Parts

  1. 1 Use a headband. You can make a frog-eyed headband in order to get a frog-like look. Take a couple of Styrofoam balls and apply a thick white paint to them (this way it will be less noticeable that they are from Styrofoam). Then draw black pupils on them. Next, coat it all with a glossy polish such as Modge Podge. After that, take a green bandage and use glue to attach your eyes to it.
    • If you're having trouble keeping your eyes on the blindfold, or if you don't like the cartoonish look, you can make it more realistic by cutting off 1 / 5th of the balloon, making it a flat surface that is easier to glue.
  2. 2 Use a hood. Another method is to attach the eyes to a green hood like on sweatshirts. Make the eyes as described above. Then grab some green cloth. Cut the oval out wider than the eye and twice as long. Make 4 of these ovals and cut off the ends of two of them to make the eyelids. Glue the eyeballs onto the ovals and pin the eyes. This whole design can be sewn onto the hood.
  3. 3 Use a baseball cap. You can also use a baseball cap or other hat. Both the regular bonding described in method # 1 and the eyelid method described in # 2 are perfect. Do whatever you like! Flattened eyes will work better in this particular case, so grab a knife and cut off the styrofoam.

Part 2 of 4: Make bracelets with flippers

  1. 1 Toads have webbed feet that you need to recreate in your costume. The easiest way to do this is to draw the outline of the paws on the felt with an extra horizontal strip of fabric for the wrist. Cut along the outline, then use the Velcro on the edges of the tape to make a bracelet. This method can be used to make front and back flippers for your suit.
  2. 2 Use gloves. Another option is to use regular knitted gloves.Take green gloves and cut a triangle out of the fabric to attach between your fingers. Put on rubber gloves, then knitted. Next, glue the fabric onto the knitted gloves and let dry. Rubber gloves are used to prevent glue from getting on your fingers or glueing the finger holes due to leaked glue.
  3. 3 Try mitts or sleeves. This method is similar to the first. Just trace and cut out the frog legs from the fabric and glue or sew them on the back of the green mitts or sweater sleeves, just attach the hem. This will make it easier to remove the sleeves if you need your hands.

Part 3 of 4: The main body of the costume

  1. 1 Use regular clothing. Take some form-fitting green items such as skinny jeans or leggings and a T-shirt. You can leave the clothes green or spray paint on them to achieve a realistic skin texture. Spray white paint on your belly, a darker color on your back, you can add some smudges!
  2. 2 Use pajama rompers. Green pajamas can make a great toad costume. No need to think that this is just for kids, you can easily find pajamas for adults in the same style on the Internet or in some stores. You can draw something if you like, but it is not recommended if you intend to re-wear your pajamas.
  3. 3 Put on your dress. To look like the princess from The Princess and the Frog, wear a dress. Get a green dress or make a ballet tutu to create the look of the Swamp Princess at home without using sewing. Don't forget the princess accessories like the crown!

Part 4 of 4: Makeup

  1. 1 Draw a green base. Take some green paint and apply it all over your face using a makeup sponge. But first, you will need to remove all hair from the face.
  2. 2 Add a white chin. Next, take some white paint and apply it to your lips and neck. Try to create a smooth transition to green on each side.
  3. 3 Draw the eyes. Then draw a circle with black eyeliner that completely encloses the socket (sweep up to the brow, then down to the cheek). Fill the circle with red or orange paint and use the eyeliner to paint the pupil. While applying the paint, the person's eyes should be closed so that when he blinks, the impression is created that a frog is looking at you.
