Gmail is Google's free web-based email service. It allows you to send emails at any time of the day, allowing families, friends and business partners to stay connected and connect with people around the world. But Google also obliges you to sign a user agreement, failure to comply with the rules may lead to account blocking.

Part 1 of 3: Understand Your Commitments

1. 1 Read the terms of use of the service. To use Gmail, you must agree to and adhere to the terms of the service at all times to avoid suspension of your account. Learn about your rights and responsibilities as a Gmail user.
2. 2 Follow all the rules for using the service. A Gmail account also allows you to access other Google products and services such as YouTube, Google+, and Blogger.This means that violating the terms of use on one of these services could affect your Gmail account.
   • For example, you shouldn't use your Gmail account to upload videos to YouTube that violate the terms of use for that service.
3. 3 Limit the number of email recipients. Gmail sets a limit on the number of single messages you can send to people, exceeding which will result in your account being blocked. Also, this can happen when you try to send one letter to more than 100 recipients at a time, or more than 500 recipients in total.
   • Consider solutions such as Google Groups or Google Apps for Business if you need to correspond with large groups of people.
4. 4 Make sure you have the correct email address. When sending email, always double-check the recipient address you entered. Your Google Account may be suspended if you send too many undeliverable emails.
5. 5 Avoid sending spam. This means refraining from sending junk mail, from forwarding chain letters, from sending junk emails, and from trying to correspond with people you don't know. If someone complains about you, Google may temporarily block your account.
   • To prevent this from happening, choose a sensible, harmless username and email address.
   • Other users have the opportunity to file a complaint against you at any time for violation of the terms of use of the service, so be always polite and attentive.
6. 6 Limit the size of your emails and keep an eye on storage. A regular Gmail account allows you to store up to 15 GB of personal data on the company's servers, or 300 GB for educational and work accounts. attachments cannot exceed 25MB.

Part 2 of 3: Follow the procedure

1. 1 Verify your account. The Gmail account you created must be verified by SMS, another email account, or through a voice call. This will allow Google to verify that you are the real person who wants to use the service on the terms provided.
2. 2 Please enter your real date of birth. To create a Google account, the user must be at least 13 years old. Lying about your real age or date of birth may result in account suspension if discovered by Google employees.
3. 3 Keep your account secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access to your account, never give your password to anyone and never write it down; choose a unique password that cannot be guessed. It is also recommended that you change your password regularly and do not use the same password for multiple accounts. Also, keep an eye on the devices from which you sign in to your account, and do not forget to sign out of it every time you finish work.
4. 4 Log in to your account regularly. Gmail accounts are automatically deleted after 9 months of inactivity, so from time to time you should log into it to protect yourself from such a fate.

Part 3 of 3: Preventing Illegal Activities

1. 1 Don't use your Google account for illegal transactions. The surest way to lead your account to deletion is to use it for illegal activities. This includes things like selling illegal goods or services, submitting copyrighted material, blackmailing, sending photos and videos of prohibited content.
2. 2 Do not use email to insult or intimidate anyone. In fact, it's best not to do this at all, but if insults and threats do come from your account, then it is likely that Google will suspend or completely terminate it.
3. 3 Don't use your account for phishing, scams, or hacking. Sending viruses, using your account to hack into other computers, phishing, or using email for any other fraudulent purpose is illegal and is considered a serious violation of the Gmail user agreement.
