This article shows you how to connect to other mobile devices and desktops via Wi-Fi Direct when using Android.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Connect to the device via Wi-Fi Direct

1. 

   . This is the step in opening the Settings menu.

   . Your device's Wi-Fi must be turned on before you can use Wi-Fi Direct.

   . This is the Share button. This step will open a new window in which you can choose which apps to share this file with.

   Touch Wi-Fi Direct. This step will open a list of devices around you that can transfer files over Wi-Fi Direct.

   Touch a device in the list. The owner of that device will receive a notification on their device, stating whether or not they want to accept the file transfer request from you. If they do, they'll receive the photo you're sending on their device. advertisement
