VisualBee is an extension for Microsoft PowerPoint. It is often promoted in free downloads, and once you have it on your computer, it installs a toolbar in your browsers, such as Firefox and Chrome, and makes the VisualBee website your home page. To undo this you will need to delete VisualBee from your computer and web browsers.

Method 1 of 4: Remove VisualBee from your computer

1. Open the control panel. If you don't know how to get to the control panel, you can also open it directly.To do this, press ⊞ Win+R. from the desktop to open the run dialog box and type appwiz.cpl and press ↵ Enter.
2. Find and delete VisualBee for Microsoft PowerPoint. If you can't find VisualBee in the list of programs, click the column name to sort your programs alphabetically or type VisualBee in the search field. Right click on VisualBee and select remove to remove the program from your computer.

Method 2 of 4: Remove VisualBee from Google Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome and go to Settings. Type chrome: // settings in the address bar and press ↵ Enter.
2. Restore your homepage. Under "On startup", select "Open the New Tab page" or restore the previous setting.
3. Restore your homepage. Under "Appearance" check "Show Home button", then "Change".
4. Select "Use the New Tab page" or restore your previous homepage. Click OK when you are done. Check the "Show Home button" if you prefer not to have the Home button displayed.
5. Reset your search settings. Under "Search", click Manage search engines…. Hover over your preferred search engine and click Make default. You can also hover above unwanted search engines and click the x on the right to remove them.
6. Go to Extensions and remove VisualBee related extensions from Chrome. Type chrom: // extensions in the address bar and press ↵ Enter. Scroll through the list of extensions and delete the VisualBee Toolbar and BrowserProtect extensions by clicking the trash can to the right of these extensions.
   • It's a good idea to remove other suspicious or unwanted extensions right away as well.

Method 3 of 4: Remove VisualBee from Firefox

1. Open Mozilla Firefox and go to Troubleshooting Information. Troubleshooting information can be found through the Firefox help menu, or by about: support in the address bar and press ↵ Enter to push.
2. Click Refresh Firefox…. Refreshing Firefox will not erase your history, passwords, saved forms and cookies, but will revert everything else to Firefox's initial state. If you use browser extensions, you will have to reinstall them after updating.

Method 4 of 4: Remove VisualBee from Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer and select Tools from the main menu. Extra is represented by a gear in newer versions of Internet Explorer. From Tools, select Internet options.
2. Click the Advanced tab and then Reset…. Resetting Internet Explorer will remove all components of VisualBee from your browser. Add-ons and saved passwords will also be removed, so make sure you have those passwords written down somewhere before moving on to the next step.
3. Uncheck "Remove personal settings" and click Reset.... Restart Internet Explorer and reinstall add-ons that you use often.

Tips

• If you have removed VisualBee and its toolbar, it is wise to run virus and malware scans.
• If you have a registry cleaner such as CCleaner, you can use it to clean the registry after removing VisualBee.
• When you download programs, make sure they come from a source you trust and look it up online if you are unsure. Unsolicited add-ons for your browser do not always have to be provided by the software developer, but by the distributor
• When installing downloaded programs, pay attention to each step of the installation process and do not agree to additional components such as browser toolbars or special offers. Use the Custom installation option and not Express whenever you can, if you dare, and choose only those components you want.
