Since Pokki may have come with other programs that can harm your computer, it is not inconceivable that you may want to remove it along with its associated content. Please refer to the sections at the end of this article, “Removing Pokki Add-Ons and Extensions” or “Removing the Pokki Folder Folder”, to ensure that all associated files have been removed from the computer. You can also consider using malware detection software to locate and remove files that can be harmful.

Method 1 of 5: Uninstall from Windows 8

1. Press Windows + C to see the charms bar. Click on "Settings."
2. Click on “Control Panel” and scroll down to click on “More Settings”.
3. Under “Programs” click on “Uninstall a program.”
4. Find Pokki in the list of installed programs and click “Remove.”
   • If there are other programs associated with Pokki, such as the “Host App Service” or “Start Menu,” you can repeat this process to remove them as well.
5. Click on “Yes” when asked if you want to remove the program. The program will then be removed from your computer.
   • If you are still having problems removing the software from your computer, additional files may be placed in your browser. Read the "Removing Pokki Add-Ons and Extensions" section at the end of this article. Please also refer to the "Deleting the Pokki Folder" section to ensure that all files have been deleted.

Method 2 of 5: Uninstall from Windows 7

1. Press the Windows key and choose "Control Panel" from the menu.
2. In the Control Panel, click "Uninstall Program" under the "Programs" heading.
3. Find and click the main application "Pokki" in the list of programs. Click the "Delete" button at the top of the window or right click on it and choose "Delete."
4. Click "Yes" when asked if you are sure you want to remove the program or click "Remove" if your computer warns you that there are still associated programs. The program will then be removed from your computer.
5. To get rid of Pokki completely, you will have to remove the leftover "Pokki Download Helper" in Windows programs manager using the same method as above.
   • If you are still having problems removing the software from your computer, additional files may be placed in your browser. Read the "Removing Pokki Add-Ons and Extensions" section at the end of this article. Also see the "Deleting the Pokki Folder" section to make sure all files have been deleted.
6. Save it and restart your computer.

Method 3 of 5: Uninstall from Windows XP

1. Click on “Start” menu and select “Control Panel.”
2. Click on “Add and Remove Programs.”
3. Find Pokki in the list of installed programs and click “Remove.”
4. Click on “Yes” when your computer asks “Do you want to remove Pokki?Then your computer will remove the program.
   • If you are still having problems removing the software from your computer, additional files may be placed in your browser. Read the "Removing Pokki Add-Ons and Extensions" section at the end of this article. Please also refer to the "Deleting the Pokki Folder" section to ensure that all files have been deleted.

Method 4 of 5: Delete the Pokki folder

If you are unable to delete the Pokki folder using the methods above, try deleting the folder.

1. Click on "Start" and go to "Computer.’
   • In Windows 8.1, the name has changed to "This PC." Click Windows + C to open it and then "Search." Type “Computer” in Windows 8 or “This PC” in Windows 8.1. Then click on the corresponding program in the left frame.
2. In the title bar at the top, the one with the text “Computer” and an arrow, type “% localappdata%”.
3. Press “Enter” and click on the folder “Pokki.Delete all files except "Pokki Download Helper."
4. Restart your computer. Repeat the previous steps and delete the “Pokki Download Helper” folder using the same method as above to completely remove Pokki from your system.

Method 5 of 5: Removing Pokki add-ons and extensions

If you have uninstalled Pokki, but you keep encountering programs or modifications made by the program, it will be necessary to remove the associated installed add-ons or extensions.

1. In Google Chrome, click on the icon with the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the browser window. Hover over "More tools" and click "Extensions" in the new drop-down menu. Find the Pokki extension and click on the trash can icon to remove it from your computer.
2. In Firefox, click the icon with the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the browser window. Click on "Add-ons" and then "Extensions." Find the Pokki extension and click Delete to delete the files.
3. In Internet Explorer, click on Tools in the top right corner. Then click on "Manage Add-ons." Go to the Pokki extension and click on it once. In the bottom box, click on "More information." Click Remove to remove the extension completely.
4. Close and reopen the browser for the changes to take effect.

Tips

• After removing the program, a survey window may appear. You can answer the questions and click “send” or ignore it by closing the page.
