Method 1 of 2: With alcohol

1. Remove all debris from the pipe. Turn the pipe upside down and tap the bottom gently to shake out any remaining items.
2. Fill a resealable plastic bag with alcohol. You can also use a narrow glass large enough to hold the pipe. Put the alcohol in the microwave and heat until it boils - this is very quick. Insert the pipe, making sure it is completely submerged in the liquid.
3. Let it soak overnight. Close the plastic bag tightly and soak the pipe in the alcohol for 8-10 hours.
4. Remove the pipe from the bag. Rinse well with cold water, and use a pipe cleaner or cotton swab to remove any dirt.
5. Let the pipe dry completely before using it again.

Method 2 of 2: With boiling water

1. Fill a small saucepan with water. Put it on the stove and bring it to a boil. Soften it so that it simmers gently.
2. Put the pipe in it. Make sure the pipe is completely submerged.
   • Make sure you have cleared all the dirt out of the pipe first by turning it upside down and tapping it gently.
3. Soak the pipe in the boiling water for 20-30 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat, pour out the water and see if there is any dirt in the pipe.
   • You may have to repeat this process again with clean water until the pipe is completely clean.
4. Use a pipe cleaner or cotton swab to remove any debris. Let the pipe dry completely before using it again.

Warnings

• Never put a cold pipe in boiling water, as it can burst. First, warm it up between your hands.
• The boiling water method can make your house smelly.
• Make sure you clean your pan thoroughly afterwards.
