Baccarat is an exciting game full of intrigue! It's also easy to learn and play. Each game of baccarat has three possible outcomes: the player wins, the bank wins, or a draw. Note: the bank does not refer to "the house" here. Participants have the option to bet on the player's hand or that of the bank.

To step

1. Know that you can bet on either hand. One hand is that of the bank, and the other is that of the player. Any player can bet on one of those hands. This must be done before the cards are dealt.
2. Understand how the cards are dealt. Two cards are dealt to both the player and the bank. A player or casino employee slides a card to the player and places it face up in the player's box. The next card, the first from the bank, is placed face up in the bank's compartment. The house then deals the player's second card and the bank's second card. This is the first round: two cards face up for both the player and the bank.
3. Announce the point total of both hands. The 10 and the figure cards are all worth 0 points; all other cards are worth their number, and the ace counts for 1 point. If a point total is more than 10, the second number counts as the value of the hand. For example, a 9 and a 6 make 15, so this hand is worth 5 points. To win, you must bet on the hand with the closest number of points to 9.
4. Understand "natural gain". If the player's or the bank's point number is 8 or 9 after the first two cards are dealt, the round is over. This is called a "natural gain". Money that has already been used will then be paid out.
5. Determine if the player gets a third card based on the number of points. The player's hand is completed first. With a point total of 8 or 9, the player does not receive any extra cards. The player passes 6 or 7 points. With any other option - 0 to 5 - the player draws a third card, unless the bank has 8 or 9. In that case, the bank's hand wins and no more cards are drawn.
6. Know the rules for the bank's third card. If the player folds (or doesn't take any more), the bank draws a card with a total of 0-5, and stands with a total of 6 or 7. All subsequent moves depend on the third card the player draws:
   • If the player's third card is 9, 10, an ace, or a figure card, the bank draws another card if he takes 0-3, and folds 4-7.
   • If the player's third card is 8, the bank draws another card if he draws 0-2, and folds 3-7.
   • If the player's third card is 6 or 7, the bank draws another card if he takes 0-6, and folds to 7.
   • If the player's third card is 4 or 5, the bank draws another card if he takes 0-5, and folds 6-7.
   • If the player's third card is 2 or 3, the bank draws another card if he takes 0-4, and folds 5-7.
7. After all cards have been dealt, determine the winning hand. The winning hand is the hand with the closest number of points to 9. In a tie, there is no win or loss for either hand. Sometimes tax is levied on the winnings paid out if you have bet on the bank's hand.

Tips

• Do not bet every round, but pay close attention to previous hands and only bet when there is a trend, or when the odds of winning for the player or bank decrease.
• Don't bet against a winning trend.
• Try to keep track of the values ​​of the cards, and adjust what you are betting on based on the probability of more high or low cards coming up.
• When the whole deck of cards has been dealt, you will see that the profit split between the player and the bank is close to 50/50.
• Remember that the bank draws more cards, so its chance of winning is slightly higher.
• Baccarat has different odds depending on the number of decks of cards used. The probability situations are as follows:
• In a one-deck game, the house edge if you bet on the player is 1.01%, if you bet on the bank 1.29%, and if you bet on a draw, 15.57%.
• In a game of 6 decks, the house edge if you bet on the player is 1.06%, if you bet on the bank 1.24%, and if you bet on a tie, 14.44%.
• In a game of 8 decks, the house edge if you bet on the player is 1.06%, if you bet on the bank 1.24%, and if you bet on a tie, 14.36%.

Warnings

• If the casino doesn't keep track of hands, you have to do this yourself so you can see who has won and lost how many times and adjust your strategy. However, a win or a loss has absolutely no effect on the next hand.
