This article will guide you how to sign out of Facebook account on Messenger app using iPhone or iPad.

Method 1 of 2: Use the Facebook app

1. 

   Open the Facebook app on your iPhone or iPad. This app has a white "f" icon in the blue square on the home screen.
   • The Messenger app does not allow you to log out. Therefore, you must use the Facebook app to log out of your Messenger account.

   Touch the icon ☰ to open the navigation menu. This icon is in the lower right corner of the screen.

   Scroll down and select Settings (Setting). You will see a pop-up menu appear.

   Choose Account Settings on the pop-up menu to open account settings in the new page.

   Choose Security and Login (Security and login). This option is at the top of the Account Settings menu.

   Find the WHERE YOU’RE LOGGED IN (Where you were logged in) in the Security menu and login. This item will show all your Facebook account login sessions, including mobile devices, desktop and Messenger app.

   Touch the icon ⋮ next to the Messenger login session you want to sign out of to see the options.

Method 2 of 2: Transfer accounts

1. 

   Open the Messenger app on your iPhone or iPad. The Messenger app icon is a blue conversation bubble with a lightning in it.

2. 

   Touch the card Home (Home page). This card has an icon of a small house in the lower left corner of the screen. This will open all your recent conversations.

3. 

   Tap your profile picture in the upper left of the screen to open your profile.

   Scroll down and select Switch Account (Account transfer). All the accounts you have saved will show up in a new page.

   Choose Add Account (Add account) to login and add a new account to the Messenger app.

   Sign in to another Facebook or Messenger account. From here you can log in and switch to using another account, your old account will automatically log out. advertisement
