There are several ways to convert MOV files to MP4 format. But you cannot do this in QuickTime.

1. 1 Online services are fast and free, but they convert a small file at a time. One of these services is Zamzar.com. You can upload the .mov file to Zamzar and receive a link to the final file via email.
2. 2 Download the file to your computer (file storage period is 1 day).
3. 3 If you need to convert a large number of files, use the paid services of this site.
   • For money, you can convert large files, and their shelf life will also increase.

Method 2 of 4: QuickTime Pro

Method 3 of 4: Any Video Converter

1. 1 Any Video Converter only supports Windows. It is fast and free.

1. 1 Using Amazon Web Services is the fastest and cheapest way to convert a lot of large files (and allows you to create a "pipeline" if you convert files regularly).
2. 2 Sign in AWSusing your Amazon account username and password.
3. 3 Create a shopping cart where you will upload the converted files.
   • Go to console.aws.amazon.com/s3 and click Create Trash.
   • Load the file (s) into it.
4. 4 Click on "Services" - "Amazon Elastic Transcoder".
5. 5 Create a conveyor. Name it “MOV to MP4 Converter”.
6. 6 Create a task for converting files.
   • From the task creation menu, select the pipeline you created.
   • Select the "source key" (the name of the converted file).
   • Enter "ending prefix" (if you want a prefix added to the destination file names).
   • Select "options" (set conversion options - final format and quality of final files).
   • Select "destination key" (destination file name).
