In order for healing to take place sooner, do not eat spicy food, rinse the mouth with non-alcoholic substances. Do not touch the piercing with your hands unless you are flushing it.
8. 8 Everything will heal in two to three weeks. If you suddenly become infected, the puncture site will turn yellow. In this case, do not remove the jewelry so that the infection does not pass inside. See your doctor. It is also recommended not to drink alcoholic beverages, smoke or swim in the pool for two to three weeks after piercing. Complete healing occurs within 2 months.

Tips

• DO NOT APPLY ICE! The ice will only make your muscles harder, making the piercing painful. Keep your lips warm so that the needle will pass more easily.
• Never forget the risk! Be as careful as possible.

• Certain oral products can cause jewelry to break down.
• Shine the light on your lip when piercing.
• If you want to hide your piercing for a while, use a patch for this.
• Be sure to buy jewelry specifically for the lip!
• Cleaning your piercing after eating is a good solution to prevent infections.
• Don't have oral sex until your piercing has healed! This can lead to serious infections!
• Safety first... Never use needles that have already been used by someone. Non-sterile needles will infect you.
• Do not use cotton wool to rinse your lip as it can leave fibers on the jewelry.
• Do not change the jewelry for two to three weeks after piercing.

Warnings

• Never use the microwave to sterilize needles or jewelry.
• If you have an infection, do not remove the jewelry! See a doctor immediately.
• Never don't let your friend pierce your lip. It is better to do it yourself, because you will feel everything. If something goes wrong, your friend will be in serious trouble.
• There should be either very little or no blood at all. If there is still a lot of blood, it means that something went wrong. If severe bleeding has opened, urgently call for help. You may have touched a vein.
• Don't expect the needle to pass quickly and gently, you are not a professional after all. Since you are doing this yourself, you must do it slowly and carefully.
• Piercing is absolutely your responsibility. Do it if you are absolutely sure you can afford it.
