- What do you need
- Dampen a towel with warm water and use as a compress.
- Make a mixture of apple cider vinegar and warm water. Mix 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water.
- Use a warm towel as a compress. Apply the apple cider vinegar mixture directly to the affected areas and keep the compress on the skin for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Apply relieving itching several times a day as needed. Apple cider vinegar oxidizes the pH level of the skin, thus reducing irritation.
Method 2 of 4: Bathing with Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Prepare a vinegar bath. Pour 2 cups (470 ml) apple cider vinegar into a tub of warm water.
- 2 Soak in the bathroom for 30 minutes.
- 3 Shower after bathing to remove any vinegar residue and odor.
Method 3 of 4: Moisturize with apple cider vinegar
- 1 Add 2-3 drops of apple cider vinegar to 2 tbsp.l. (30 ml) regular hand cream. Apply to affected areas. Use no more than a few drops, as too much apple cider vinegar will dry out the skin if left on the skin for too long.
Method 4 of 4: Drinking Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Prepare an apple cider vinegar tincture to drink. Mix 1 tbsp. (15 ml) apple cider vinegar and 1 cup water.
- 2 Drink the mixture 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals.
Tips
- It takes up to 2 weeks to see results from the apple cider vinegar procedure.
- While preparing the tincture, you can add a little honey or sugar to the mixture to make it taste better.
