For those who don't want to use a screwdriver to pry out dirty, broken bearings from skateboard wheels, there is an alternative method that works much better.
Steps
- 1 Unscrew the wheel bolts and remove it from the axle. Use the part of the axle that you just removed the wheel from to remove all 4 wheels.
- 2 Hold the newly removed wheel on the axle with the metal tip between the two bearings.
- 3 Insert the axle diagonally between the bearings.
- 4 Turn the wheel 45 degrees and apply the force of the lever.
- 5 If done correctly, the bearing that is on the inside (in the direction of the axle) should gradually come out of the wheel.
- 6 Flip the wheel over and repeat the process to remove the second bearing.
- 7 Repeat this procedure for the other 3 wheels.
Tips
- Use leverage.
What do you need
- Skateboard with dirty or broken wheels.
- Key to remove the wheel from the axle.
