Don't draw big lines unless you want your hair to look like it is braided, draw small strokes, but don't try to draw individual strands either as you won't be able to.
Advice
- Make sure you are comfortable and have time to focus on drawing.
- You don't want to use a pencil that is too blunt or too sharp.
- Take one step at a time, draw bold strokes, remember to leave space between the strands to give a silky feel.
- Do not rush! Just slowly draw.
- Do not draw exactly the same hair sides because it doesn't look real. Instead, make them slightly uneven. This asymmetry should only be subtle, not too prominent!
- Use high quality eraser to avoid blurring the drawing.
- Put a clean piece of paper under your hand so that you don't dirty your draft.
- If you want to check if the face is symmetrical, turn the drawing upside down.
- Always sharpen the pencil before drawing to create slim and precise lines.
- Just look at the reference once, and then let your creativity work.
Warning
- Keep the workplace tidy and clean for clear work.
