Previously you had to find a third-party app to create collages, but Instagram now offers an add-on called Layout 'that lets you easily stitch multiple photos together into one photo. Creating a collage using the Layout application is as simple as installing add-ons and collage.

Steps

Part 1 of 2: Installing Layout application

1. 

   Open the Instagram app. If you don't sign in automatically, enter your username and password when prompted and tap 'Log in'. Make sure you have updated to the latest version of Instagram.

   Tap the camera icon or the plus icon. It's at the bottom of the screen, and this will take you to a page where you can upload photos or videos.

   Press Thư viện (Gallery) (on iOS) or Gallery (Gallery) (on Android). This option is in the lower left corner of the screen.

   Click the Layouts icon. It's a small icon located at the bottom right of the image preview window. This icon looks like a square divided into three parts. When you tap it, it will open a dialog box asking you to download the Layout 'app from the App Store or Play Store.

   Press Get Layout (Download Layout). This will take you to the App Store or Google Play store.

   Press Install (Install) to download the application. This app is created by the founders of Instagram so it is absolutely safe to install.
   • Once downloaded, the Android devices will automatically take you back to Instagram.
   • If using an iPhone, tap OPEN (Open).

7. 

   Go through the instructions. The first time you open Layout, you'll be taken to a short tutorial on how to use the app.

   Press GET STARTED (Begin). This will open the gallery section of the app.

   Allows the app to access your photos. Press Allow (Allowed) on Android either OK on iOS. advertisement

Part 2 of 2: Create collages

1. 

   Press to select an image. You can select up to 9 photos to create a collage.

2. 

   Tap on favorite layout. Different layout options are displayed in the scroll bar at the top of the screen.

3. 

   Click a puzzle piece to edit the photo.
   • You can resize the photo by dragging the edges.
   • You can move a photo in the collage by clicking and dragging on it.
   • Use the buttons at the bottom of the editing screen to reverse, flip, or replace a piece of the photo.
   • Choose 'Borders' to add a white border between pictures.

   Press SAVE (Save). If you're on Android, tap NEXT (Next), then skip to Step 6 (Step 6).

   Open Instagram. You can leave the app and open Instagram using the app drawer. Tap the camera icon or plus sign and select a edited image from the 'gallery' (gallery).

   Choose a filter.

7. 

   Press next (Next).

8. 

   Press Share (Share). Your collage will be shared with all of your Instagram followers! advertisement

Advice

• If you want each photo in the collage to have a different Instagram filter, edit each photo individually on Instagram, then save the edited versions in the camera roll. Next, you can select those pictures when creating a new Layout collage.
