This wikiHow teaches you how to change your web browser's search engine. You can change your search engine on popular web browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, and Safari. Note: this process does not involve changing the default web browser of your computer. If your computer has been compromised by malware, you'll need to remove it first before you can change your browser's search engine.

Steps

Method 1 of 8: Google Chrome on a computer

Advice

• Popular search engines in Vietnam include Google, Bing, Yahoo and Coc Coc.
• The terms "search engine" and "web browser" are often confusing, but they are not the same: a web browser is a program for accessing the Internet, and search engine is a web service used for online content search in browser.

Warning

• If your browser's search engine changes itself even though you made the change, chances are your computer has been infected with malware.
