Audacity is free, open source, easy to use and multichannel software for recording and editing audio on GNU / Linux, Mac OS X, Windows and other operating systems. Audacity's license is the GNU General Public License (GPL). To use Audacity, you will need to install it on your computer first.
Steps
Method 1 of 1: Install Audacity
- Prepare to install Audacity. Let's say you are running GNU / Linux Ubuntu open source.
- On the Ubuntu Desktop, select Ubuntu Software. You will be taken to your screen Ubuntu Software Center (Ubuntu Software Center), where you can search for and install Audacity.
- Type in the word Audacity into the search field of Ubuntu Software Center then press the Enter key. You will see in the search results screen a picture of the Audacity software icon, a brief description of it and the button. Install (Setting).
- Install Audacity.
- Please press the button Install to install Audacity. Ubuntu will ask you to authenticate your rights to install the software. You must type your admin password in the ‘password'And then press the ‘buttonAccuracy' below.
- Please wait a moment for Audacity to be installed on your computer. Once installed, you will see the Audacity icon located on Ubuntu's launch bar.
- At this point, Audacity installation is complete. If you click the Audacity icon on Ubuntu's launch bar, you will see the Audacity desktop as shown in the illustration.
- Please press the button Install to install Audacity. Ubuntu will ask you to authenticate your rights to install the software. You must type your admin password in the ‘password'And then press the ‘buttonAccuracy' below.
