This wikiHow teaches you how to restart your current game in Pokémon Platinum. While it is easy to start a game, restarting it is a bit more difficult if you have already saved the game once.This is because there is no direct way to start a new game. But by pressing a few buttons, you can still restart your game from the beginning.

To step

1. Load Pokémon Platinum onto your Nintendo DS or Nintendo 3DS / 2DS. Select the game from the list of games installed on your portable game console to load it and wait for the title screen to appear.
2. Press the simultaneously ↑ + SELECT + B.buttons. Use the direction and action buttons on your DS / 3DS / 2DS to press the buttons when the title screen appears. Don't forget to press these buttons all at once and not one after the other.
   • A prompt will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the saved game.
3. Select YES. You must select "YES" again to confirm that you want to clear your previous game and start over.
4. Restart Pokémon Platinum. Your previous progress will be cleared and you will start again at the beginning of Pokémon Platinum.

Tips

• If you choose to start a new game, all your previous progress in the game will be lost. You will not be able to retrieve it later.
• If the button combinations used to reset the game don't work, make sure you don't accidentally press buttons other than UP, SELECT, and B.
