There are many ways you can pamper yourself - after all, there are so many things that can make you feel happy and relaxed. Whether you want to pamper your body, mind or heart, just sit back and relax. It is wonderful to be pampered.

To step

Method 1 of 3: Pamper your body

  1. Have a spa day. For an extremely luxurious day, you can go to a spa where you can rest, relax and rejuvenate. Most spas have whirlpools and saunas where you can relax. In addition, most spas offer services such as massages and facials.
    • You can also choose to set up your own spa at home. You can learn how to give yourself a facial, and you can also learn how to give yourself a relaxing massage.
  2. Take a nice bath. Soaking in a warm bath can be both calming and rejuvenating. Fill yourself up with a nice warm bath, and add some bath salts, bath oils or essential oils to make the experience extra luxurious.
    • To make the bath even more soothing, you can light candles and play your favorite music. Also pour yourself a nice cold glass of water (or wine).
  3. Give yourself one manicure and pedicure. After taking a bath you can conjure up the nail polish and toe spreaders. Paint your nails in a nice bright color, or opt for something darker if you prefer. You can even choose to give yourself a French manicure.
    • You can also choose to go to the beautician to get your nails done.
  4. Try aromatherapy. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add some essential oil to the water - you can choose which scent you prefer. When the water starts to steam, you can remove the pan from the heat, put a towel over your head and the pan, and breathe in the wonderfully scented steam. Scents that can help you relax include:
    • Lavender.
    • Jasmine.
    • Cedarwood.
    • Bergamot.
  5. Try restorative yoga. Restorative yoga can help loosen up tense muscles. The postures you adopt in restorative yoga will help you to relax, and will help you become more balanced. In addition, your muscles are stretched nicely.
    • Search the internet for a restorative yoga course near you.
  6. Treat yourself to something you wouldn't normally buy. We are not necessarily talking about food here; you can also treat yourself to concert tickets from your favorite band. Not that there is anything wrong with a delicious tompouce, by the way. The choice is entirely yours.
  7. Buy yourself some new clothes. Go shopping and treat yourself to a new wardrobe (or at least a new outfit). Covering your body in nice and comfortable clothes is also part of pampering yourself.
    • If you don't feel like shopping, you can also take some time out to put on chic outfits that you haven't worn for a long time. Or dig through your wardrobe to find clothes to sell. You can use the money you earn with that to go shopping in the future.
  8. Practice a hobby that you usually don't have time for. Maybe you want to start gouging. Maybe half your yard is weeds, or there is a mountain you want to climb. Whatever the hobby, make time for it. Pamper yourself by practicing that hobby.

Method 2 of 3: Pamper your mind

  1. Put on some comfortable clothes and read. Put on your finest pajamas and softest bathrobe. Sit in your favorite chair and pick up that book you've "almost" finished for three months. Sit back, relax and read.
    • If you don't like books, you can also grab your favorite magazine, newspaper or blog.
  2. Curl up on the couch and watch a captivating movie. If you pamper yourself, you don't have to ask anyone for their opinion or approval - you can choose what to watch. For example, choose a movie that you have been wanting to watch for months, but that your partner or family is not in the mood for.
    • Don't be afraid to put on a bad chick flick or a documentary that none of your friends would find interesting. This day is all about you.
  3. Try to meditate. Meditation is all about releasing your worries and allowing yourself to relax mentally. Sit in a quiet and peaceful place and close your eyes. Concentrate on your breathing. Let all worries leave your body.
    • If meditation isn't your thing, try breathing exercises. These can help you release any pent-up tension and will help you de-stress.
  4. Consider your goals. Unfortunately, all too often, the madness of everyday life makes the things we are passionate about. Take time to think about the things in life, your dreams, your ideals and your goals.
    • Create a bucket list, or revise a previous bucket list. Consider how your goals differ from then (if any, of course).
  5. Love yourself. Take a look in the mirror and name all the things about yourself that you love. Tell yourself that you are great and that you deserve to be loved. Think about all the things you have achieved and all the experiences you have had.
    • Also think about the things you would like to improve. Just be careful not to be negative about those things. For example, don't think, "When it comes to planning, I'm really dramatic"; rather choose, "I'm going to work hard to learn to plan better." For example, buy a nice diary for yourself!

Method 3 of 3: Pamper your heart

  1. Spend time with the people you love. If you've been working a lot or have been very busy, take time to pamper your heart. Spend time with the people you love. Schedule a day of activities or just hit the cinema with some friends.
    • Surrounding yourself with people you love will make you happier and more relaxed.
  2. Plan an outing for you and your partner. You can also pamper yourself by pampering your partner as well. Plan an outing for you and your loved one. You don't have to go far; a day out can be enough to pamper yourself.
    • Consider booking a hotel in a foreign city or going to the beach.
  3. Play with an animal you love. Humans aren't the only creatures who can make you feel loved. You can also pamper yourself by spending time with your pet. Take the dog for a long walk, cuddle up with your cat, or go horseback riding in the woods.
    • If you don't have a pet, consider volunteering at the animal shelter. You might even bring a pet with you at the end of the day.
  4. Call a friend you haven't spoken to in a long time. Catching up with a good friend can be a great way to pamper your heart.
    • You can even schedule a Skype date so you can giggle with each other - even if you live on the other side of the world.

Tips

  • Make sure you are home alone, or at least there are not many people in the house. It is not nice if there are people who could disturb you or make a lot of noise while you are trying to relax.
  • Go to bed early and pamper yourself by catching up on some sleep.
  • Wash your face every morning when you wake up and every night before going to bed. This way you prevent acne.
  • Dance to your favorite music. You can do this in the shower, but also in the club.
